| Summary: | At the beginning of the 21st century, the role that the history of law should play in the training of jurists cannot be the same as the discipline played in the last century, hence the importance of reflecting on the scope that from now on the subjects of historical content should have in the different curricula in which the knowledge of law in its historical dimension has a place. The delimitation of the role to be played by historical education requires reflection on the three traditional dimensions of knowledge, the material, spatial and temporal dimensions. This is the reasoning that justified the first symposium of the Spanish Society of Law Historians. El papel que en los inicios del siglo XXI debe tener la Historia del Derecho en la formación de los juristas no puede ser el mismo que la disciplina cumplió en el siglo pasado, de ahí la importancia de reflexionar sobre el alcance que de aquí en adelante deben tener las asignaturas de contenido histórico en los distintos planes de estudio en los que tiene cabida el conocimiento del derecho en su dimensión histórica. La delimitación del cometido que debe cumplir la formación iushistórica requiere reflexionar sobre las tres dimensiones tradicionales del conocimiento, la dimensión material, la espacial y la temporal. Siendo este el razonamiento que justificó el primer simposio de la Sociedad Española de Historiadores del Derecho. |
