Summary:The Evidence Synthesis Program (ESP) is responding to a request from Jason Johanning, Medical Director, Surgical Quality Improvement Program in National Surgery Office, to review the evidence on the occurrence of major adverse events associated with continuing, suspending, or varying dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) in the perioperative period. Findings from this review will be used to inform guidance on the management of DAPT in the perioperative period for patients undergoing major elective, urgent, or emergent surgeries
