Not only did Martin suggest which songs should be included in their albums, but the innovative recording techniques he used created some of the iconic instruments of their most famous songs. Elton John would not have become famous without his long-term collaboration with Bernie Taupin, who wrote the lyrics to most of Elton John's songs. Although these are exceptional examples of how helping others can impact someone's life, helping others with everyday tasks can be just as powerful for the person you are helping as grand gestures or one-off repairs.
