Summary: | This document presents the summary and recommendations of the expert group convened by INSERM through the collective expert evaluation procedure to answer the questions raised by the Mission interministerielle de lutte contre la drogue et la toxicomanie (Mildt; interministerial mission to combat drugs and drug addiction) concerning tobacco dependence. It is based on the scientific information available as at the last 6 months of 2003. The document base for this expert evaluation consisted of approximately 1,000 articles and documents. The INSERM Collective Expert Evaluation Centre co-ordinated this collective work with the Departement animation et partenariat scientifique (DAPS; department for facilitation and scientific partnership) to instruct the dossier and with the documentation service of the Departement de l'information scientifique et de la communication (DISC; Department for Scientific Information and Communication) for the literature search |
