Asearly as 1783 a Greek-Oriental Religious Fund attributed to the Bukovinawas established. Its growing economic and political role made thisinstitution a major factor in the development of the region. It kept thisimportant position until its eventual dissolution in the course of socialistrestructuring of Romania in 1949. Im Zuge der Josephinischen Reformen kam es im gesamtenhabsburgischen Herrschaftsbereich zur Umgestaltung kirchlichenEigentums. Entsprechend wurde bereits 1783 ein dezidiert derBukowina zugeordneter griechisch-orientalischer Religionsfonds eingerichtet. Über seine wachsende wirtschaftliche und politischeBedeutung entwickelte sich diese Institution bis zu ihrer Auflösung 1949 zu einem die Region maßgeblich prägenden Faktor. |
